While staying at M.E.N.A.GIA village Vromoneri or Guest house Platanias you can visit many locations which are at close distance such as Lafkos and Promiri or the seaside villages Platanias, Kastri, and Katigiorgis which are even closer. You can even visit Katigiorgis on foot through a 20 minute trail, setting out from M.E.N.A.GIA village Vromoneri.

From Platanias you can visit Papadiamanti’s island, Skiathos, by boat (can carry up to 50 passengers), which performs daily cruises. You can also visit the seaside settlement Mikro by water taxi (up to 15 passengers) which runs daily. In Lafkos, next to the old school, there is an exhibition of Thanasis Fabas’ sculptures which are made from white marble found in Pelion. In Promiri you can stroll along picturesque, traditional cobbled streets that end up in the central square of the village with its old plane trees and a little further down the church of “Panagia” which was built around 1800. Furthermore, at close distance from our village you can visit the monastery of St. Spiridonas. Walking along the narrow streets you can admire “Trani Vrisi”, which is one of the traditional springs of Pelion.

Katigiorgis is a picturesque, traditional fishing village across Skiathos where you can try fresh fish from the local fishermen. For alternative activities our region offers horse riding through the forests or for the more energetic hiking along the trails of the surrounding regions.
